Wreck the Journal ... pressed flowers

Well, it was actually all about pressing leaves and other things ... but with so many wonderful flowers around me I decided it had to be flowers only :-)

I collected them, arranged them on the page, closed the journal and put it under some heavy cartons (image1).
The flowers came out quite well. It felt a bit bare between the individual flower heads so I did some light colouring between them and decorated around the page with colouring pencils.
Now,  the flowers would move around, wouldn't they? Clingfilm was the saviour (image2).
I even did a double dose. (image3) And to fix it all nicely I used washi tape for the edges of the page (image4)

Thanks for visiting,  Petra.

Wreck the Journal ... coffee

It was always going to be difficult ... to share and sacrifice some of my beloved coffee with the journal (sigh)
But I did! I dripped, poured, spilled, .... coffee over the pages.  And added the little coffee label.
Let's have another coffee! Petra.

Wreck the Journal ... circles

Here is what I've done with the circle page in the journal.  Only after I had finished it, I realised it had been given a rather nice beauty treatment :-)

I covered the entire page with circles using colouring pencils,  various colours and various sizes (image3).
Looking through some magazines I came across two pages which perfectly colour coordinated with my circles ... such coincidence (image1).
I cut the pages into circles,  glued them onto the journal page.  To accentuate the middle I found a little bit of wool (image2).

This is linked to Carolyn's fabulous journal post! Petra.

Wreck Journal Wednesday

This is a first in many ways: This post is written on my mobile using Blogger.  It is the first post published since I have left the UK for a longish break and it is the first page of my 'Wreck this journal'.

Thank you so much to Carolyn for the encouragement!

Considering that I am sort of a neat and tidy person and having only relatively limited supplies at hand at the moment, I realised very quickly that my 'wrecking' would be quite neat and uncluttered ... and I am happy with this!

For my first page the instructions read: poke holes in this page using a pencil
... which I dutifully did. But it looked so bare! Having two Copics with me I colour-circled the holes ... and I like them much better now!

When poking the holes,  I made sure that the pencil left a mark on the page underneath ... these marks have been colour-circled as well to make sure that they do not get lost :-)

I attached two photos,  the one of the actual page and one showing the back and the page underneath ... thank you for visiting.  Petra.
