A little while ago I finally decided to get a DSLR and to learn as much as possible about photography and its rules having taken photos with a small compact camera and with my smart phone.
It has been a very steep learning curve, there is so much to learn and to experiment.
Taking photos by the galore I am never quite sure how good they are and how to improve them.
Yesterday I stumbled across a weekly photo challenge by chance which every Friday gives a photographic theme and technique to be followed ... it would be a great way to focus on a small area at a time rather trying to learn it all at once.
This week's theme is: Rule of Thirds by Jen Hooks ..... compose the focal point in your photo off-centre and create a background bokeh.
I chose two different photos ... both times with off-centre focal point but only the second one is with bokeh.
Thank you for visiting my blog, any feedback would be more than welcome! Petra.
